Jason Sidney Sanford is an artist working with sound. He makes sculptural musical instruments, compositions and scenarios, and performs using his body and his voice.

Neptune is an experimental rock ensemble, founded by Sanford in 1994. Neptune uses (mostly) self-made instruments. Neptune has released 9 albums and toured nationally and internationally many times.

E is a musical group co-founded by Sanford and Thalia Zedek in 2013. In E, Sanford uses his self-made instruments, while bandmates Zedek and Gavin McCarthy play electric guitar and drums. E has released 3 critically acclaimed albums and has toured nationally and internationally.

Sliver Foxes is an experimental movement/sound ensemble, co-founded by Sanford and Liz Roncka in 2015 after many years of informal collaboration. Their collaboration began in the roles of sound artist and movement artist, but by the time they formalized as Sliver Foxes, these roles were dissolved and integrated, so that all ensemble members became responsible for both generating sound (through movement) and moving (in response to sound.) Sanford designs and builds the sonically-active installation scenarios and props for their performances.
